At PlaySonus, we have always been committed to protecting your privacy and respecting your rights as a user. We understand that your personal data is important and we strive to collect, store, transmit, and protect it in a responsible manner. We also allow you to delete your data from our system at any time.
This model enables us to offer streaming music without compromising your privacy. Advertisers on our platform are unable to access your personal information, and you remain anonymous to them.
To further protect your rights as a user of PlaySonus, we have created a User Bill of Rights that explains how and when your data is used on our platform. This document is written in plain English and is easy to understand.
At PlaySonus, we strive to collect and store only the minimum amount of data necessary to effectively operate our platform. This includes storing information about the songs you play on our platform to improve recommendations, inform artists about their music's listening activity, and provide our label partners with the necessary aggregate stream counts for accounting purposes.
Unlike many other apps, PlaySonus does not sell any of your personal data to third parties, whether they be data brokers, location companies, or any other type of organization. We believe in protecting your privacy and keeping your data safe, so we do not engage in the practice of selling user data for a profit.
In order to keep our service running, we need to run ads on PlaySonus. This is because when you stream a song on our platform, the rightsholder (such as the artist or record label) receives payment for that stream. To generate revenue to cover these payments, we may show ads to users who do not have a subscription.
To make sure the ads are relevant to you, we may share some data with advertisers, such as the IDFA or Android Advertising ID for app users, non-identifiable browser information (like the language and browser you use) for web users, the genre of music you are listening to, and your location.
However, we do not allow ad providers to associate an ad request (when your device or browser requests an ad) with your PlaySonus profile. This means that ad providers do not receive any personal information about you, such as your name, email, photo, listening history, or phone number, as part of the ad request.
To delete your account and personal data, you have several options:
At PlaySonus, we prioritize the security of your data and account. To achieve this, we use top-quality data storage systems, encryption, and trusted vendors.

At PlaySonus, we work with several well-respected third-party partners and services based in the United States to improve the functionality, dependability, usefulness, and profitability of our platform. These partners and services also provide specialized services for our administrators and users. To enhance communication, we may store your email address, device id, and other tokens in services that allow us to send targeted messages to you through email, push notifications, and on-platform messaging. While PlaySonus is not responsible for the privacy policies or data security of these third-party services, we place a high importance on data security and integrity when choosing which partners to work with.

We work with third-party partners who collect information from various sources, including offline and online channels, in order to deliver more relevant advertising to you or your business. These partners may place or recognize a cookie on your computer, device, or in our emails/communications, and we may share personal information with them if you have provided it to us, such as your device ID. They may link this information to the cookie stored on your browser or device, and collect additional information like your IP address, browser or operating system type and version, and demographic or inferred-interest information. Our partners use this information to recognize you across different channels and platforms, such as computers, mobile devices, and Smart TVs, for advertising, analytics, attribution, and reporting purposes. Your data may be transferred outside of the country from which it was originally collected. The PlaySonus platform utilizes cookies and similar technology to improve the user experience, keep track of login and registration information, and present more personalized advertisements. Third-party advertisers may also use limited information about the user's interactions with the platform to enhance the targeting or retargeting of their advertisements and marketing campaigns.
A cookie is a small file that is placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. This file helps the site and its third-party advertising and data partners recognize your device the next time you visit the site. Cookies are essential for many simple functions, such as keeping you logged in as a repeat visitor and providing access to your account, favorites, playlists, and profile. PlaySonus uses two types of cookies: session-based cookies, which expire when you close your web browser, and persistent cookies, which stay active until deleted or expire after a set period of time. Additionally, other technologies such as pixel tags (transparent images that help determine if a page or email has been viewed by a user), web beacons (also known as web bugs, which serve a similar function to pixel tags), and web storage are used to gather data. Furthermore, mobile users may be tracked using Device ID or hashed data to identify repeat mobile usage. These combined technologies are used by PlaySonus and our third-party partners to ensure essential platform functionality, target, serve, measure and track advertising delivery, targeting, optimization, and performance; measure platform analytics and usage, and to measure user and audience behavior, trends, demographics, and location.
As of now, PlaySonus does not take action on or acknowledge Do Not Track requests sent through desktop or mobile web browsers. However, it does currently respect the Limit Ad Tracking settings set by users on individual iOS devices.
You can update your personal information at any time by going to your user profile's Dashboard page. Keep in mind that it may take a few hours or a reasonable amount of time for the updated information to be reflected internally.
If you delete your account on the PlaySonus website by accessing it on the desktop version and selecting the "Delete account" option, your data will be removed from PlaySonus's servers. However, it is important to note that there may be a delay before it is removed from internet search engines due to caching.
Please be aware that uninstalling the mobile app from your device or logging out of it will not result in the deletion of your user account.
Users who access PlaySonus from an Android or iOS mobile device can prevent the sale of their personal information by using their mobile device's settings. On iOS, this can be done by enabling the "Limit Ad Tracking" setting, and on Android devices, by enabling the "Opt out of Ads Personalization" setting.
